LARK proudly provides critical communications support for local events where cell phone coverage is unreliable or congestion is expected. We encourage all hams—from newly licensed technicians to seasoned veterans—to volunteer. Most positions only require a handheld transceiver (HT).

How to Volunteer

We use SignUpGenius to coordinate our volunteer assignments for each public service event. When you click "Sign Up to Volunteer," you will be taken to the specific event page where you can see all available roles (such as SAG, Rest Stop, Net Control) and select the shift that works best for you.

What to Bring

  • • Handheld radio (HT) with extra batteries
  • • Clip-on microphone / Headset
  • • Clipboard, pen, and paper
  • • Vest (if available)
